Description
- Mankind has learned to control and use electricity to energize appliances, machinery, equipment, and tools to provide movement, lighting, and changes in temperature. These in turn protect, preserve, and improve the quality of life.
- Electricity is commonly found in two forms, electrical current and static electricity. While very useful, it also presents a number of hazards.
- Failure to take the necessary precautions have resulted in damage to property and the death of or injury to people. Safety measures are simple and if followed closely, result in the hazards being reduced.
This module will introduce you to the basic working of electricity and the safety precautions to be observed when working with electricity.
